The APICAL A1-FX22 LPD is a 22L system with an alternative 5L configuration available, the A1-FX05 LPD.

The A1-FX22 LPD utilizes a 100mm-wide vapor column and triple-wall vacuum insulation built for significant reflux and separation capability. The column is optimized to fully utilize every watt your mantle can throw at it while distilling >90% pure distillate from the main body of your crude oils.

The A1-FX22 LPD system is designed to maintain its wide-bore 2” ID tubing throughout with minimal changes in the vacuum path. This fully utilizes the precise vacuum system, maximizing the potential of your vacuum components and ensuring throughputs exceeding 2 liters per hour of high-purity distillate.

A1-FX100 FD features:

  • Turbulent design makes full use of column’s 15” height, refluxing undesirable heavy molecules while maintaining a high vapor load without flooding the column.

  • Retains heat & energy within the system to maximize efficiency while protecting from touch burns per OSHA standards and allowing the operator to see what is happening.

  • Reduces impedance on vapor path which improves vacuum depth and overall throughput.

  • Increases efficiency of recirculator, balances temperature throughout condenser to improve condenser capacity and is vacuum-insulated to prevent touch burns.

  • Tubing where hot liquid can potentially pass or collect is vacuum insulated to prevent touch burns.

  • Fitted for deep-vacuum, durability and easy assembly/disassembly, these junctures are fitted with PTFE centering rings & composite clamps.

  • American-made components known for consistency and longevity.

  • Principle glassware is meant to be permanently installed on the lattice to limit operator interaction.

  • Reflux of common solvents keeps systems looking and performing brand new for years to come.

  • 22L boiling flask is easily removed & replaced for cleaning and new batches without system disassembly.
